It depends mainly on the type of system, its capacity and how far the pipework has to run between the indoor and outdoor units. A single wall-mounted unit is the most affordable option, while multi-split and ducted systems cost more because they cover more rooms. Our installation page has a guide to typical prices. Every job starts with a free survey and a fixed written quote.
Yes. Almost every modern split system is an air-to-air heat pump. In winter it reverses its refrigerant cycle to deliver warm air, often more efficiently than electric heaters — so the same unit gives you comfort all year round.
Many houses won’t need it, but listed buildings, homes in conservation areas, flats and some front-facing outdoor units can need consent from the local borough council. We check your property during the survey and tell you before anything is booked.
Most single-room systems are fitted in one day. Two- and three-room multi-splits usually take one to two days, and ducted systems are planned around your building work.
We cover the whole county — from Guildford and Woking to Epsom and Reigate — plus neighbouring parts of south-west London, Sussex and west Kent. See all the areas we cover.
